Music & Worship Arts

As in every arena of ministry, we exist to glorify the Name of the Lord. Jim Cymbala, Senior Pastor of Brooklyn Tabernacle said once about their world famous choir:

“We are not here to entertain you. There’s nothing in the Bible about people standing in front of others and entertaining them. Anytime you use the Name of the Lord, you either minister or you don’t do it at all. So we’re trying to encourage you, singing hymns and spiritual songs, or we’re trying to draw you into praising God with us, because He’s the center of attention today.”

Ministry Philosophy

We believe the ministry of music & the arts within a church must be based on lifting up Jesus. He must be the center of our attention. That is our number one goal and priority. 2 Chronicles 5 tells the story of the dedication of the temple and it says that all the Levites who were musicians played their cymbals, harps and lyres, joined by 120 priests sounding their trumpets

It says that the trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang, “He is good; his love endures forever.” And the Bible says, “Then the temple of the Lord was filled with a cloud… for the glory of the Lord had filled the temple.”

Whether it’s the Sanctuary Choir, a drama production, sound, media and lighting techs, the Worship Team or backstage crew, together we are “One Voice” declaring the praises of our God.

Ministry Objectives

  • We desire to build strong relationships with not only those involved in the arena of music, worship and the arts, but also with the entire congregation.
  • We are committed to empowering people to utilize their gifts and talents for His glory.
  • We are committed to bathing every part of this ministry in prayer.
  • Our goal is excellence. “Excellence honors God and inspires people”.

So, let us in unison, “as with one voice” be a body of worshipers that magnify, exalt and glorify the Name of Jesus!

Praise Media
Sound, Lighting, Worship Lyrics Operation and Video

The purpose of media ministries is to create the best possible environment for people to engage in worshiping God. We are always looking for skilled technicians to work with sound, lighting, videos and song lyric presentation who have a heart to serve.

Music is more than a song…
It is a way in which we communicate with God.

A church is more than a place we visit on Sunday…
It is the dwelling place of Jehovah God.

We are more than singers and musicians…
We are worship leaders who minister in response to a calling.

We Would Love for You to Join Us

If God has given you the gift to sing, play an instrument or act, there is a place of service for you in the Music & Worship Arts Ministries.

There is also a need for capable individuals in important, behind-the-scenes roles such as: sound, lighting, worship lyric operation, video, set design and construction, costuming and makeup, etc. All these teams work together to see thousands brought to Jesus Christ every year.
